I’d planned to center today’s studies around dreams, but then this occurred to me:
MASTURBATION.
Obviously mutual masturbation, whether together or apart, is different than having sex without having sex. But why? Is it the physicality? The interaction? The acknowledgment? If it’s acknowledgement, what’s the difference between sex without having sex (heretofore referred to as SWHS) and two people masturbating to each other’s image without knowing the other is doing it?
I determined that the difference is that while unacknowledged mutual masturbation might be mentally and physically intense, it’s ultimately coincidence. SWHS is energetic. It’s spiritual. It’s the energy of sex stripped down.
Does that mean that touching oneself has no place at all in SWHS? It does not mean that. But solo-touch during SWHS isn’t masturbation. It’s the a spontaneous, energetic response to someone else’s actions. What follows is a bunch of excited and disorganized notes about nocturnal emissions and how Amir claims have sex and/or do yoga in my sleep.
We will return to this tomorrow.
Other today things:
- It was sunny
- The people who were supposed to come and install the things forcing me interact socially canceled to my partial dismay
- I began bag two of my current Lego situation only to discover ALL OF THE PIECES ARE CLEAR!
- Amir crushed another livestream balcony set.
